Cooking blood is one of the worst smells. Tae and I woke up on Christmas morning to the putrid stench of sizzling animal blood in a hot pan from our neighbors. Oh, what a magical time of year!

This type of thing is not unusual, though, and it's not just these neighbors. It's all neighbors. Neighbors are just made that way.

In other news, I've been doing more planning on the next novel, and things are going pretty well. Coming up with a new novel is like loading an image on dial-up: it's really blurry at first and slowly comes into focus.

What's New?

  • The new pacing of the newsletters has given me more time for other projects, and it's working out great.
